Habicare is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our operations. We recognise our responsibility to ensure that slavery and human trafficking have no place within our business or supply chains. This statement is made in accordance with section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our Business
Habicare operates children’s care homes within the United Kingdom. Our primary focus is to provide high-quality, safe, and compassionate care for children and young people. We employ a team of 10 dedicated staff members, all of whom are subject to rigorous recruitment and safeguarding checks.

Our Commitment
We are fully committed to conducting our business ethically and with integrity. We expect the same high standards from all those we work with, including our suppliers and contractors. We do not tolerate any form of modern slavery, forced labour, or human trafficking.

Recruitment and Employment Practices
All Habicare employees undergo enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks before employment. We ensure that all staff have the legal right to work in the UK and are employed under fair terms and conditions. Our recruitment processes are designed to identify and prevent any risk of exploitation.

Suppliers and Partnerships
Habicare’s supply chains are limited and primarily based in the UK. We work only with reputable suppliers and service providers who share our commitment to ethical practices. Where appropriate, we seek assurances from suppliers that they comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Training and Awareness
We provide thorough training to our staff on safeguarding and identifying potential indicators of exploitation or trafficking.

Ongoing Commitment
We will continue to review and strengthen our policies and procedures to ensure we play our part in eliminating modern slavery and human trafficking.
